Cert II

Electrotechnology (Career Start)
Full Time day - 6 months.
This is suitable for School leavers or unemployed looking for a head start in Electrotechnology. The course leads to advanced standing in Certificate III programmes in both electrical and electronics.
Full time day - 6 months or Part time day or evening - 1 year.
This is an industry recognised entry level course suitable for trainees or existing workers. It provides excellent practical skills and fundamental knowledge of electricity and electrical systems and equipment.
Cert II in Computer Assembly and Repair
Full time day - 6 months or Part time day - 1 year.
This is a popular entry level course with promising employment or small business outcomes. Units include PC assembly and repair, wireless and cabled network setup, operating systems and using software applications. (Can include work experience)

Cert II

Cert II in Security Assembly and Setup
Part time evening - 1 year.
This is an exciting niche market course offering high level skills in installation and alarm panel programming. Meets requirements for installers license.(Includes restricted data cabling).

Cert III

Electrotechnology - Systems Electrician
Part time day release - 3 years.
This is designed for apprentice electricians. Course completion meets the requirements for application for an Electrician's License through the Department of Fair Trading.
Electronics and Communications
(Current "Electronics Trade" qualification)
Full time day - 2 years (with work experience) or Part time day or evening - 3 years.
For electronic servicing and repair including business equipment, computers, communications, microprocessors & audio-visual.

Cert III in ESI Distribution
Block release - 3 years.
For apprentice linesmen. Learn about electrical supply and how to install electrical distribution systems and services.

Cert IV

Industrial Electronics and Control
Part time day or evening - 1 year for Cert III entry.
This course is ideal for electricians requiring expertise and experience in industrial control electronics and PLC systems programming. Chullora TAFE is a leader in the delivery of this course in NSW.
Cert IV in Electrical - Photovoltaic Systems
Part time evening - 1 year for electrician entry.
This specialist course for electricians includes all the competencies required to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain photovoltaic systems. There is a skills shortage in this expanding area of industry.


Industrial Electronics and Control Engineering
Part time evening - 1 year for current Cert IV entry.
For electricians requiring engineering level skills; electives include embedded system design, SCADA systems and distributed intelligence control systems. There is an identified skills shortage in this field.
Electronics and Communications Engineering
Part time day or evening - 2 years for Cert III entry.
This qualification is for technicians requiring high level repair and some design and programming skills. Successful students gain very practical skills and detailed knowledge of a wide range of electronic systems and equipment.



Industrial Electronics and Control Engineering
Part time evening - 2 years for current Diploma entry.
For electricians requiring high level industrial control expertise, programming and engineering design, and advanced diagnostic skills.
Electronics and Communications Engineering
Part time evening - 2 years for current Diploma entry.
For senior technicians or associate engineering positions requiring comprehensive design and troubleshooting skills as well as project management expertise.
